Music: The music that moves the audiences along with the scene in the film

WE WERE SOLIDERS

The first scene is the scene I will be talking about mostly in this movie. The first scene starts of silent, with a quote on the screen. This film already means business and there is no messing around. It is already setting the mood for the viewers. Then it starts off with a young man talking with an accent, and as the film continues on, you can hear soldiers moving around and walking with the horses, the click, click, click, and then you hear the all famous trumpet sound. Then this loud bzwak noise, a bullet hitting a man on his face. He his face, then BOOM! Explosions from a short distance away and loud talking. The trumpet plays again, but you can hear the trumpet halts to a stop, and you see blood as the young man collapse to the ground. This again sets the mood for the movie, reassuring the audience that this film, means business. More loud explosions follow, and many, many gunshots. You can hear fire burning on the ground, men running with boots and shuffling along the grass. There is someone using a whistle, to command the men where to go and to follow the lead. Then the sound slows down tremendously, and you hear a knife whiz pass a gentleman and hit another human like a slicing sound. The sound slows down again, and you see the enemy approach the man who had the trumpet, they take the trumpet, aim the gun towards him and you can hear a loud gunshot.

This movie was in its genre with sound. It was a war movie. This movie contained lots of gun noises, loud booms, and many sound effects!

The sounds were realistic, and it was amazing how they did the sounds and brought the sounds out in the scenes to life! The bullet sound and hitting the man’s face, was a bit of exaggeration, but it was a very good detailed exaggeration, this is what had started movie with a boom, literally.

If any of these sounds were removed, there would have been no way the movie would have been effective as it is now! Even removing the buzzing, there would have been less effect to the leading up to the explosions.
